Inspired by the process of obtaining my NASM Personal Trainer certification, I’m passing on weekly tidbits to help you find your own balanced health.

Trainer Tip #1:

According to the principle of specificity, the body will adapt to the level of stress placed on it and will then require more or varied amounts of stress to produce a higher level of adaptation in the future.  

In short: your body becomes very efficient when you do the same thing over and over. Vary your workouts for greater results.
