I don’t really know how this holiday season has treated you as we enter the new year,  but I am so excited for you to hear a fresh and holistic approach to your health. I am speaking with Coach Gretchen Meyers, a personal trainer and a girl after my own heart.

I met Gretchen via Instagram a while ago and have come to admire and respect all she does. I invited her on the show to talk about all things fitness and training.

Today we sit down and have a conversational chat about the fitness industry, body image, and more. I really enjoyed “talking shop” with her and I know you’ll gain so much from her perspective.

About Coach Gretchen

Gretchen is a certified personal trainer, Kettlebell instructor, and lover of moving in all the ways.  She has been training clients and teaching group classes for over 15 years.  Two years ago she decided to go into business for herself by teaching kettlebell classes out of her garage and training clients in her home.  Since then, her business has moved completely online where she continues to teach classes, train clients, and offers other fitness programs for those looking to get strong, mobile, and durable.

We discuss:

  • The mixed emotions for trainers with a new year
  • How our body image is tied to racist roots
  • Greatest hope for people as they head into the New Year
  • The benefit of wisdom about the body as you age
  • The mindset shift about your workout
  • The importance of a good relationship between food and exercise
