Season 24 Recap – Highlights, Lessons, and Looking Ahead

Can you believe we’ve wrapped up 24 seasons of the Grace Health Podcast? While it hasn’t been 24 years (I wish!), the journey has been nothing short of incredible. For those new here, I typically run three seasons a year, each with its own flavor—sometimes focused, sometimes a bit more “loosey-goosey,” but always with the goal of bringing you value, encouragement, and practical health wisdom.

Why Recaps Matter

I love doing these season recaps for two reasons. First, if you’re new, it’s a great way to get a high-level overview of what we’re about. I know when I discover a new podcast, I look for recap episodes to get a sense of the content and see if it’s a good fit. Second, even my most loyal listeners can’t catch every episode. Life happens! These recaps let you see what you might have missed and revisit topics that resonate.

A Season of Strength (and a Little Bit of Everything Else)

If I’m honest, this season leaned heavily into strength training—intentionally and otherwise! Seven out of our 19 episodes focused on movement, lifting, and building a strong body, especially for women over 40. We explored what “lifting heavy” really means (spoiler: it’s about exertion, not a magic number), how to get stronger at home without buying more equipment, and the essentials for a successful at-home workout.

We also heard from real women like Kathy Law Dansky, who shared her experience with my “Strong and Vibrant at Home” program, and discussed how to keep up with your grandkids (or “littles”) as you age. Plus, we dove into the power of short, 10-12 minute “movement snacks”—because something is always better than nothing!

Wellness Beyond the Weights

Of course, health is more than just movement. This season, we covered a wide range of wellness topics:

  • Rant, Rave, and Review episodes (including why some sleep advice might be making your insomnia worse)
  • The 10 foundational habits that matter more than trendy health hacks
  • The importance of fiber, especially in perimenopause
  • How to be kind to your future self
  • Moderating alcohol use with new tools and perspectives
  • Updated advice for injury recovery (goodbye, RICE; hello, PEACE & LOVE)
  • Understanding heart rate variability (HRV) and what it means for your stress and recovery
  • Navigating the post-event “crash” and how to recover well
  • Pelvic floor health in perimenopause and beyond

Mental Wellness and Life Transitions

We didn’t forget the mind and heart. This season included powerful conversations about supporting grieving friends, finding peace with your body, and helping aging parents navigate big transitions. These episodes are close to my heart and I hope they offer comfort and practical advice for whatever season you’re in.

Looking Ahead & A Special Invitation

We’re about to hit a major milestone—500 episodes! I’d love your ideas on how to celebrate. If you have thoughts, please use the “click to text” feature in your podcast player or episode description. And as we head into the holidays, remember: the best gifts aren’t always wrapped. Sharing an episode with a friend is a wonderful way to show you care.

We’ll be back January 6th with a conversation about gut health with Tiffany Gigante—what better way to start the new year?

Thank you for being part of this community. Whether you’re a longtime listener or just discovering the Grace Health Podcast, there’s always room at the table. Wishing you a graced day and a joyful holiday season!

Let me know if you’d like to adjust the tone, add/remove sections, or focus on specific episodes or themes!
