Wisdom on marriage, motherhood and friendships concealed in a cookbook

Do you have one of those friends who is authentically joyful, but has a wonderful perspective on the hard things as well? And she’s masterful about bringing people together around the table in a way that works for her. Today I’m speaking with Lisa Kelley, who shares her experiences and recipes for doing just that in her book Love Soup.

Lisa Kelley is the wife of 34 years to her high school sweetheart, Patrick, a mom to 4 wonderful adult kids and 1 incredible daughter-n-law, and a grandmother to 2 amazing grand kids! A pastor’s wife…a daughter…a friend…a flight attendant…an interior designer…and now an author of a cookbook called Love Soup, which is more than just a cookbook. Love Soup is a peek inside the Kelley family mess, including funny stories, helpful tips, inspirational thoughts, and great recipes.

Lisa shares that she wrote Love Soup as a legacy, and it truly is just that. The stories behind the recipes touch on everything – humor, tenderness, heartbreak, and all have the authenticity of a woman who is just trying to love Jesus and others through it all. You are going to adore her; I know I did.
