Sure, we all know the importance of taking care of our body. We eat right, we move, we give it rest. But it wasn't until a few years ago that I learned of the missing element. All of that temple care is to be able to live out the calling God has for us. Click to watch a short video devotional deconstructing this transforming statement.

The statement that transformed how I look at health {video devotional 3}

A few years ago, my pastor caused me to nearly fall over.

Not literally, of course. But the words in his message took everything I believed about health and gave it a completely new perspective.

Our church holds different series, where we delve on one topic for several weeks at a time. This particular series focused on healthy living.

I admit: I walked into church that day thinking I wasn’t going to learn much. After all, I run. I eat kale. What was my pastor going to say that I didn’t already know?

Actually, what he said was my missing health link:

“We take care of our body so we can do what we are called to do.”

Since then, it’s become the crux of my speaking and writing here at Graced Health. More importantly, it keeps me grounded in those times of feeling like my body doesn’t measure up.

This week (ironically I’m in my own experimental video series) we deconstruct this statement.

Missed the first two? Catch them here:

Week 1: Accepting strength and protection for your unique body

Week 2: Find rest in your body, mind, and spirit
